Wondering what those four things have in common? That’s what CandyMan gave me for our anniversary yesterday. Yep, April 28th was our 13th anniversary. Wow, do I feel old! It has been a fun, exciting 13 years, and I’m grateful to be married to such an amazing person.
Our wedding day–April 28, 1995
Before you feel sorry for me (speaking of the presents), my gift to him was nutty buddies, tapioca pudding, and index cards (all presented in a nice gift bag). The kids didn’t know what we were thinking. What …

For those of you eagerly awaiting pictures of The Twins…..here are a few of my favorites! (Baby A–Pirate–on left, Baby B–Professor–on right) For those of you who don’t know the family, these boys were both around 6 lbs–great size for twins!! They were exactly a week old when I took their pictures last Friday. What a unique and precious experience!!
Did you notice how they’re mirroring each other’s actions in that last pic? I think that’s my favorite from the whole day. Baby B (Professor) was so calm and agreeable …

Today was the perfect weather for me. Not too cold, not too hot, no humidity, cooled off in the evening. Beautiful! Of course, we had to take advantage of the sun and the warm weather. After playing for a while, Apple didn’t want to come back inside. Luckily, I had my camera handy.
PS–I’m sorry for the picture overload lately. I’m trying out a bunch of different things with my camera and photoshop. It’s fun!
One more thing….My dermatologist is making me go without lipstick for at least the …

It’s never boring around here! Here are a few things that we’ve been doing this last week:
I finally finished the Twins’ blankets. I wanted to do something special for my good friend who just had twin boys this last Friday. I forgot how long it takes to crochet ONE blanket, let alone two! Despite the time, I haven’t enjoyed making anything in a long time quite as much as I loved making these blankets. And I made them up as I went along! I think I’ve mentioned before …

I am just SO excited….my friend is having her twin boys right now as I type. I’m watching big sister today. Yay!!
Speaking of babies, another friend, Krista, had her second little girl–Brooklyn–last week, and yesterday I got to meet her! I had so much fun taking a few (by a few, I mean more than 100) pictures of Baby Brooklyn. I was so happy with how they turned out that I had to share a few. It was really hard to narrow it down, because Brooklyn was just such a …

Noodle decided to sign up for softball this year on a city league. Her team is full of great girls (half of them are also in her girl scout troop) and her coaches are so nice. It’s been a very fun experience so far (we’re only 2 1/2 weeks into the season).
On Saturday, Noodle was supposed to have her team photos taken. We were running a little late (Friday was a late night and Peanut Butter was working on Saturday) and then minutes before we were supposed to leave, Apple …

And what is IT, you ask? ………..Apple is wearing underwear today!! And he has gone potty on the toilet 3 times this afternoon, and had one accident. This is very unexpected. I bought Apple some big boy underwear today and he loved them SO much he has wanted to wear them ever since. Woohoo!
Since I don’t have any potty training pictures to share, here are a few pics from the last few days. First, Apple and I spent the afternoon the other day hanging out with “Baby Lexi” (that’s what …

Call me crazy….I took the kids to DC again today. We thought it was a great idea to check out the annual Cherry Blossom festival on their day off school. Unfortunately, the “14%” chance of rain turned into a very wet, cold day. We rode the metro down to the city, and then walked from the metro to the Jefferson Memorial. By the time we got there, the kids were ready to eat lunch and then go home. No–I’m wrong. After lunch, the kids enjoyed their favorite part of the …

On the way to pick up Reese’s Dora sunglasses that she left at the doctor’s office the other day, this is what she said to me:
Reese: “Mom, I think I need new glasses.”
Me: “Why, hunny? Your Dora glasses are new.”
Reese: “Well, I can’t see very well. When I look at things far away, they look SO TINY. And when I look at things that are really close to me, they’re HUGE!”
(She’s obviously been listening to her big sisters discuss their need for glasses!) Below is Reese’s well-loved Lamby, who was …

Ever since I photographed my friend, Wendy’s, wedding and then did a photo project for church, I have been obessessed with improving my photography skills. I invested in two new lenses, which have been TOO fun to experiment with (I sold the one that came with my camera). The result of all of this experimenting and stretching has been around 800 pictures this last month. I’ve got pictures coming out my ears! But I am loving it! Peanut Butter also brought home photoshop elements for me to try out some …
