Ugh. I’ve been to the doctor’s office twice today. Taco has missed three days of school this week because of…..(drum roll?) strep throat and an ear infection. Then Kiwi woke up feeling horrible this morning (last night she was completely fine) and she’s got strep too. That’s Fall for you. I’m worn out and my house is a mess….and I’m not the one who’s sick. Yet.

We’ve been going on a lot of walks and enjoying the heavenly early Fall weather. We’ve been scouting out all of the wild mushrooms.We saw lots of birds (and even more geese) on our walk today.When we got home, poor Apple said, “Why didn’t we play at the park?” He fell asleep in the middle of our walk, and missed the park. He got over it pretty fast.

Apple and I joined my photography buddy, Lisa, at Brookside Gardens today. We were a little worried when we saw buses unloading school children when we arrived, but luckily it’s a big enough park that we hardly noticed the other people.Lisa and I got together specifically to take pictures. And we TOOK PICTURES! I snapped over 450 myself. We started out in the greenhouse….Apple was bored after the first 30 minutes, and so he watched a little bit of WonderPets on my iPod.

I finally did something interesting enough to blog about!! As much as I have been enjoying the start of the school year, and sharing my day times with Apple, we haven’t been doing things that were too exciting. Today, though, we met some friends at the Orchard for raspberry picking. Apple was a picking champ! He got tons (and most of them were even ripe!!)

I have finally gotten around to posting a few of the pictures of the wedding I did a few weeks ago. There are a couple more pictures from the event on my photo blog. I had so much fun being a part of the wedding day. My feet were very sore at the end of this long day, but I was content–there’s nothing so happy as a wedding!Doesn’t Allie have a gorgeous dress?! We had NO plans for Labor Day as of Sunday, except that Peanut Butter was going to work a half day and I was going to try to take the kids to the pool for one last swim before it closed. But then we were invited to TWO Labor Day BBQs–one for lunch and one for dinner. Woohoo! Way to party!
