Zippity Doos Children’s Hair Care Giveaway

15 March 2010 0 views 54 Comments

* GIVEAWAY CLOSED * Winner is Jennifer (motherofall6 on twitter)!

Zippity Doos Hair care

One of the fears I have always had as a mother sending my children to school was that they’d come home with lice. And there wouldn’t be anything I could do about it. Kids share coats and hats. They braid each other’s hair during recess and hug before they say good-bye at the end of each school day.

It’s a miracle that I’ve made it 13 years as a mom of girls without having a case of lice in the house.

But I’ve never been one to push my luck. When I was introduced to Zippity Doo’s Hair Care products for children, I was intrigued. A hair care regimen that helps prevent lice? Prevention is always a more pleasant route. To avoid the harsh treatments and hours of work to rid a girl’s long hair of lice? I’ll take it.

When my samples of Zippty Doo’s products came in the mail, my first reaction was that they smelled so normal! Not like chemicals or medicines, but like natural herbs. Very pleasant. My kids have all enjoyed using the shampoo and conditioner, and the de-tangler and gel have come in really handy with Reese’s new haircut.

Here’s how Zippity Doo’s products can be used:

Bath Time: Zippity Doo’s™Shampoo and Zippity Doo’s™ Conditioner as first line of defense against lice and other insects.
Every Morning: Zippity Doo’s™ Leave-In Detangler or Zippity Doo’s™ Styling Gel for an added and fresh layer of lice prevention before the kids head off to school or camp.
Daily/As Needed: Apply Zippity Doo’s™ Shield Spray on all surfaces, including
hats, helmets, backpacks, pillows, bedding, toys, combs, clips, berets and
other items and hair accessories that may harbor lice, nits and other insects.

Zippty Doo’s products can be purchased at CVS and other food and drug stores.

How would you like to try out a full set of Zippty Doo’s products? This set includes:

Zippity Doo’s Shampoo for Children
Zippity Doo’s Conditioner for Children
Zippity Doo’s Leave-in Detangler Spray for Children
Zippity Doo’s Styling Gel for Children
Zippity Doo’s Shield Spray for Children

This giveaway ends on March 25, 2010 at midnight Eastern Time. Winner will be chosen at random and notified via email.

Disclosure: I received a full line of Zippity Doo’s products to review (the same that is being offered for give away), but my review was not biased. The thoughts are mine. Although it would have made the review more interesting, I did not expose my daughters to lice to see if it would really prevent lice from spreading. ;)

There always seems to be an outbreak at school. I would like the spray in particular as as softball season is about to begin. Even private helmets get passed around but team moms could help the situation a lot by spraying down the team gear.

My 6 year old grand-daughter has long hair down to her waist. Her mother would really have issues if there was a lice problem. And seeing how I would be the one to pick her up from school I wouldn’t be too happy either!! This is one case where a little prevention would save us all a lot of work and tears.
