  2. Love the Melting Pot. Had a fun meal years ago for my birthday. Great place for a date night or girls’ night out. My children — at least my oldest — are getting close to the age where they would love this type of restaurant.

Of course, the time I went prekids I was seated near a family with toddlers. Can you imagine a more inappropriate restaurant for toddlers?? Boiling oil, skewers, hot plates. I was on edge the entire meal as the toddler at the next table lunged across the table near to the hot plate or ran around the restaurant as the waiters carried pans of boiling oil!

Looked like a fun night. Although hard to see/read about a D.C. blogging event that I never knew about. Ouch!

Cub scouts was fine, but completely insane. All of the boys were in a bouncing-off-the-walls type of mood. But we got through it!

  18. Well, base on experience fondue dinners always mean ‘good times’ whether it’s with families or friends. My family love fondue, I always prepare fondue dinner at least once a week. If I’m too busy, my husband and I would tag along our 8-year old twin boys to somewhere fancy just to ease out our fondue cravings, lol!
