How often do perfect plans get dashed by days like today?

The morning started out with a very green visit to the doctor (diagnosis: pink eye), followed by the most painful dentist cleaning of my life. Reese, who came along with me, remarked that she was “freaked out” having to watch it. Apparently, this new dentist uses some kind of miniature powerwasher for teeth.

When we came home to the internet being down, I decided to make some St Patrick’s Day cupcakes.

The kids and I have been spending a lot of time outside since my mom left for home earlier this week. Park time is wonderful, but it sure is hard to be productive at the park.

I did at least ONE productive thing this week. I made this crocheted baby hat from my mom’s excellent instructions. No, it is not a hint, sign, or foreshadowing of what is to come. I am still 1momof5. I just like crocheting.

And now my internet is back, I am tired from a long day, and I am sorely behind on everything I needed to get done today. So my photos are coming to you straight from my iPhone. Thank goodness for phone pics.
