Focus for the New Year

As 2011 comes to a close and we welcome a new year, I find myself reflective. 2011 was a tough year in many respects, and not one that I would like to repeat…though I admit that there were many wonderful aspects of this past year. I look to 2012 now with hope and optimism. And with a new focus:

Balance

This coming year, I want to focus on balancing work and family. I want to get more sleep and spend more time doing things that I enjoy. I want to be more focused during the time that I am working so that I can enjoy the time that I have with my kids more.

Balance is my focus word of 2012. What is yours?

Happy New year!

I stink at balance. I really need to work on it, because burnout is right around the corner!

I think balance is a perfect word and a whole lot harder to achieve than it may appear. I haven’t picked a word of the year yet…….I need to put my thinking cap on….:)

  4. My word this year is Engage. I want to be fully engaged in everything I do moving forward, rather than going through the motions. I am hopeful that by being engaged I will in turn be more fulfilled.
