I am heading out of the hotel in just a few minutes for another very packed day of Disney-style fun, but I had to show off a few pictures from my GREEN carpet experience last night (normally, of course, there would be a red carpet leading up to a world premiere of a movie, but in sticking with the whole BRAVE/Scottish theme, it HAD to be green).
The whole event, from walking down the carpet amidst celebrities, onlookers, and press, was incredible. Disney and Pixar went all out for this event.
During the movie, I sat in the second row middle, second seat in the right. Now I want to watch previous Academy Awards on TV to see what celebrities have shared that same seat (second row is pretty much high tier seating for the Academy Awards, wouldn’t you think?).
After the movie (the second time I’ve seen it now….full review coming!) we headed upstairs for an over-the-top roof-top after party. Again, full post coming on that as well, once I’m back on a regular computer and not typing on an iPad in a hotel room….but I couldn’t resist sharing this once-in-a-lifetime shot that I caught towards the end of the party.
Kevin McKidd, who is the voice of Lord MacGuffin in the movie, just happened to walk by while Caryn and I were eating dessert outside on the patio. I bit the bullet and went up to chat with him and ask for a picture…especially for my 13 year old daughter, Necco. He graciously took a few photos with me and chatted about Scotland and said hi to Necco especially.
It made my night.
OK, that was REALLY not Wordless. Sorry about that…
